Our Approach to Lashes
At Namu House, both of our lash treatments are built around the same principle: the health of your natural lash comes first. Whether you are lifting what you have or adding to it, the result should never come at the cost of the lash underneath.
Korean Lash Lift
Also known as the Korean Barbie Perm, the Korean lash lift has a different philosophy to the traditional lash lift most people in the UK are familiar with. Where a standard lift focuses primarily on curl, the Korean approach treats the lash as something to be cared for throughout the process, not just styled.
The most significant difference is what we call the clinic step. After lifting, the lashes go through a neutralising and nourishing treatment that stabilises the pH of the lash and begins to restore what the lifting process has taken out. This is standard practice in Korean salons and largely absent from the way lash lifts are performed elsewhere. We then offer a keratin treatment to further strengthen and soften the lash, leaving it in considerably better condition than it started.
The result is a lift that looks intentional without looking done, and lashes that feel healthy rather than frazzled.
The Korean lash lift works across all eye shapes and most lash lengths. If you have shorter or lower volume lashes, extensions are likely to serve you better and we will always say so.
Japanese FeatherLight™ Lash Extensions
The FeatherLight™ Method is a precision extension technique inspired by Japanese lash craftsmanship, developed to prioritise comfort, lash health, and long term results above all else.
The distinction lies in the application. Rather than attaching an extension to one side of the natural lash, each extension is expertly wrapped and sculpted around it, creating a higher contact bond that is more secure, more seamless, and places less tension on the follicle. Over time, this makes a meaningful difference to retention and to the condition of the natural lash underneath.
Our natural lashes are always in different stages of their growth cycle, and understanding this is fundamental to responsible extension work. Selecting the correct extension weight for each individual lash, and knowing which natural lashes can safely carry an extension at any given time, is what separates work that supports lash health from work that quietly compromises it.

Every appointment begins with an in-depth consultation to review your lash health and discuss what is realistically achievable without putting your natural lashes at risk. This master artist has worked with every possible eye shape ensuring that designs are bespoke to every eye.
How Long Does it Last
Korean Lash Lift
Results typically last between five and eight weeks. How long your lift holds depends largely on daily habits and the condition of your lashes going into the appointment. Arriving with mascara on or having used a lash curler the same day will affect the outcome, so we ask that you come with clean, product-free lashes.
FeatherLight™ Lash Extensions
The FeatherLight™ Essential set is designed for rebalancing at up to five weeks, and the Signature Premium at up to six weeks. Rebalances are scheduled from the date of your appointment and we recommend sticking to that window to maintain both the look and the health of your natural lashes underneath.

Not Sure Which Treatment Is Right for You?
As a general guide, if your natural lashes have reasonable length and volume, a Korean lash lift will likely give you everything you are looking for. If your lashes are fine, short, or sparse, extensions will give you a more satisfying result and we will always say so honestly.
For extensions, it is worth knowing that the FeatherLight™ method is built around length, volume, and a result that looks like your own lashes on a very good day. If you are looking for something dramatic or heavily done, this is not the approach for you and we would rather tell you that upfront than take a booking that is not the right fit.
